feast-companion

Meaning

Aphrodite is addressed as σύνδαιτι in a sequence of bridal and ruling titles (LV.11). The feminine vocative belongs under συνδαίτης, not an invented nominative built by simply preserving its ending. The apparatus’s σὺν δαιτί, “with a feast,” would divide the words differently and remove the direct companion-title.
