English renderings
whirring mover; rushing one

Meaning

Helios and Protogonos are described as rushing or whirring agents (VIII.6; VI.5). For Protogonos, the masculine agent noun remains masculine beside the neuter image of a shining shoot. At VIII.6 the apparatus reports ῥιζωτήρ; its precise root-related sense is uncertain and should not replace the adopted sound-and-motion description.
