summit; peak

Meaning

Artemis is asked to send diseases and pains to mountain peaks, and Zeus’ heavy spirit is likewise directed toward peaks and sea. The elevated remote setting contrasts with the human community seeking safety. In Pan’s cosmic description, the singular κορυφή is the upper point above which the fiery eye appears; the context does not require another mountain.
