Meaning
αἰολόμορφος describes changeful or variegated form. The adjective is more specific than generic beauty, but does not state which forms appear, how rapidly they alternate, or whether the change is a narrated transformation. Those questions require the surrounding hymn.
Use in the book
Ouranos, Herakles, Zeus, Athena, Artemis and Dionysos bear the epithet, as do the Charites and Erinyes. Its range cuts across any simple opposition between beneficent and frightening powers. The ever-flourishing Charites at LX.5 and the dreadful daughters of Hades at LXIX.8 share changeful appearance without sharing the same effect on mortals.
Korybas gives the most useful lexical comparison. At XXXIX.5 he is a shifting-form lord, a double-natured god, and many-formed. αἰολόμορφος, διφυής and πολύμορφος accumulate distinct descriptions rather than merely repeat a dictionary synonym. The first emphasizes variability, the second twofold nature, and the third plurality of forms. Their combination invites an expansive picture without specifying an exact sequence of embodiments.

Translation
The English “of shifting form” preserves the dynamic side of the adjective. “Variegated” can also help where the verse gives no explicit action of changing shape. The common rendering should not cause this compound to absorb αἰολόμικτος, whose second element concerns mixture, or ἀγλαόμορφος, which stresses splendour.
