Phoibos

Meaning

Phoibos is invoked in the Prayer and Apollo hymn, born with Artemis from Leto, and taught ordinances by Themis. At LXVII.6 Phoibos Apollo is explicitly named as the source of Asklepios's strong shoot. Those local naming and relationship phrases are the grounds for interpretation, not a free-standing biography attached to the name.
