English renderings
raise the euhoi cry

Meaning

Themis cries to the lord through Bacchic nights (LXXIX.9), with ἄνακτα as an accusative complement. The Erinyes cry over necessities (LXIX.6), using a dative in a raging, coercive setting. The latter should not be reduced to cheerful celebration simply because the cry also appears in Dionysian contexts.
