English renderings
promoting bloom; fostering flourishing

Meaning

Earth, Demeter, Adonis and Asklepios foster flourishing. The fruit-bearing settings make vegetal growth clear, while Asklepios brings the same compound into healing. The printed vocative αὐξιθαλές is repeatedly attributed to Abel against forms in -ής; at LXVII.5 his rearrangement also changes the neighbouring address to the youth. The growth-and-bloom combination remains distinct from mere abundance.
