English renderings
fire-breathing

Meaning

Aither, Physis and Trieterikos are fire-breathing. The source’s contracted πυρίπνους and fuller πυρίπνοε belong to the same adjective, preserving the same breath-image. At LII.3 the reported πυριπόλε is a different fire-compound, not another inflection that may automatically receive the breathing sense.
