Meaning

The supplied contextual lexicon’s “source forms” combine exact historical spellings with normalized access labels. A case-sensitive boundary check identifies 35 displayed labels without an exact match in the historical German corpus. That does not mean that all 35 words or concepts are absent: some differ only in capitalization or inflection, while others are modern formulations.

For example, lowercase arcanum is not the exact displayed string, but Arcanum is genuinely attested at Part I: entrance and preparation · unit 2. Likewise matrix is a useful normalized label beside the attested matricem in Nature’s Demonstration to the Erring Alchemist · unit 10. The new lexicon separates a reader-facing family label from its selected exact source forms and anchors those forms in named passages. Normalization is permitted as an explicitly identified aid; it is not counted as another historical occurrence or used to manufacture a lemma the source does not attest.
