The half appears in the numerical riddle after a series of sevens and the counting of seven and three. The warning is that no one should hurry a half. Its local force is restraint within an enigmatic numerical scheme, not an independently recoverable fraction of a chemical charge. The aligned English preserves the awkwardness of “a half” instead of supplying an unstated unit or decoding the riddle. It can therefore be read alongside the treatise’s cautions about haste, but cannot by itself justify a precise timing or calculation. The uncertainty is part of the supplied wording, not a gap to fill with an invented solution.
