Meaning

The Latin phrase means ‘to the children of wisdom’. It names the intended recipients of a compressed indication, not literal offspring or a documented society. The main author says that the magical knowledge just touched on is of no small importance and leaves these readers to consider it further.

The familial title presumes a capacity for sustained interpretation and places the reader within a community of understanding. The English ‘children of wisdom’ preserves the phrase without supplying an initiation ritual or equating it with the separately named fraternity in the 1661 responses. Its immediate force is an invitation to reflection on what the author has deliberately not fully expanded.
