English renderings
destruction of life; life-ruin

Meaning

Daimon is asked to remove sorrows that send destruction of life across the whole Earth (LXXIII.8). The noun names their ruinous result rather than a new divine agent. The prayer then seeks a sweet and good completion of life, opposing destructive interruption to a favourable ending.
