unturnable; not to be diverted

Meaning

The Moirai are unturnable beside invisible, nocturnal and ever-unwearied descriptions at LIX.17. The epithet gives their action an inexorable quality. The same hymn still addresses them with a petition, so “unturnable” should not be expanded into a declaration that all appeals to them are useless.
