Historical Definition
Lorindt is the movement of waters, or a harmony made by them.
Meaning
The two equivalents concern an event or effect, rather than a particular ingredient. Water is in motion; alternatively, its activity is apprehended as a harmony. The wording does not specify an instrument producing that harmony or describe an engineered water-work.
Use in the Book
Mechanopeotica concerns the invention of water-works and the conveyance of water to high places. Lorindt should remain distinct from that technological category even when a passage brings moving water and a device together.
Places to Read
Mechanopeotica. An inventive art exemplified by raising and conveying water.
