Historical Definition

Vrina vini is vinegar; sometimes it is used for the urine of a person who always drinks wine.

Meaning

The definition supplies two possibilities and marks the second with sometimes. In one use the compound name means vinegar; in another it refers to urine from a habitual wine drinker. These senses should not be merged into one material preparation.

Xisinum. An unqualified vinegar name.
