I have listened to and reviewed most of the available interviews with Robert Bigelow, whose decades-long fascination with “little green men” gradually gave way to an even greater passion: understanding consciousness and whether it survives bodily death. What follows are my field notes, opening with a brief sketch of the questions that seem to drive his work and the obsessions behind his spending.
