The universal spark is one description of the main treatise's paradoxical subject in Part II: matter and the work · unit 4. It burns in no fire because it is itself a spark of the fire of the light of nature, and it has or is associated with a penetrating heavenly spirit. The wording belongs to the same cluster that calls the subject a stone yet not a stone and a water unlike common water. The English preserves the elevated light-and-fire relation rather than identifying a visible ember. The name expresses a concentrated universal power in the source's cosmology, not a modern energy measurement or a safely reproducible ignition phenomenon.
