The closing prayer asks God that his eternal Wisdom, spoken of as a woman in the preceding unit, guide the speakers with due measure in every work and to learn the right understanding without error. Meßiglich qualifies the manner of guidance: it is not a numerical weight or a laboratory ratio. The petition follows the whole undertaking from a right beginning through steadfast continuation to blessed completion. The English “with due measure” keeps this regulated, fitting sense and avoids reducing it to mere slowness. Because the passage is a prayer, its confidence in an unfailing process is a requested divine gift, not an independent report that the speaker’s every procedure has been demonstrated to succeed.
