English renderings
Patarian; of Patara

Meaning

Apollo’s address Παταρήιε associates him with Patara, beside Branchian and Didymean titles (XXXIV.7). Despite its opening letters, this is not a clattering-word. The apparatus attributes the adopted local epithet to Wiel and reports ἑκάεργε, “far-working,” which would replace geography with an action-oriented title.
