Meaning
The final petition to Pan asks him to send the Πανικός frenzy to the ends of the earth (XI.23). Its association with the god is explicit, but its desired location is far from the worshippers. The adjective thus marks a power from whose disturbing effects Pan himself is asked to provide relief.
