English renderings
House; dwelling

Meaning

οἶκος ranges from human homes receiving protection or wealth to Tartarean dwellings of the Titans. Ouranos and Hestia are themselves addressed as a “house of blessed gods,” making habitation a divine image, not only a building occupied by someone else. At LXXXIV.5 the printed οἶκε is attributed to Dorville against οἳ καί, so that explicit house-address is textually consequential.
