English renderings
Part; portion

Meaning

The cosmos has parts named in the Prayer and inhabited by Kronos, while Ouranos and Hephaistos are each themselves called a μέρος of it. The word can therefore divide a whole into regions or characterize a divine power as one constituent. The local complements determine which relation is meant; the noun alone does not supply a fixed list of elements.
