Meaning
Zeus is addressed as Kronian in XV.6 and named through the same paternal epithet in the births involving Semele and Melinoe. Κρονίοιο is an epic genitive agreeing with Zeus’ name. It preserves that explicit identity in LXXI.3 despite the difficulty of the following narrative.
