English renderings
grey-eyed, bright-eyed

Meaning

Athena receives the visual epithet in XXXII.14, but Tethys also receives it in XXII.1. The edition’s grey-eyed is a useful rendering, not a precise modern colour specification. Its shared application should not erase the distinct goddesses who bear it.
