ease; favourable circumstances

Meaning

At LX.8 ease appears among advantages that cannot, without the Graces, arouse the joys of life. The noun is thus something desirable but insufficient on its own, not a title of one of the Graces. The apparatus reports εὔχαρι against the adopted εὐχέρει’, so the printed abstract noun should not be reduced to an alternative spelling of “gracious.”
