English renderings
unstable; restless; unsettled

Meaning

Nemesis hates unstable speech at LXI.4, where unreliability has an ethical force. In Leucothea’s hymn, the ships' sea-going rush is unstable or restless (LXXIV.5), describing physical movement. The maritime occurrence should not inherit the moral blame attached to speech merely because the same adjective occurs.
