Use in the book
Before turning to human application, the doctor says that distinguishing erotic relations in the construction of harmony and rhythm presents no difficulty and that double Love is not there yet. The difficult distinction returns when music is composed for people or used educationally. Dropping “yet” makes him seem to contradict his extension of two Loves to music as a whole.

Translation in this edition
Burnet prints Badham’s pō, “yet”; the reported main manuscripts have pōs, accented as “how”. The entry follows the continuous printed reading and marks its editorial basis.
πω (pō)
pō — Yet, an enclitic temporal particle whose negative setting marks a stage not so far reached, rather than a permanent absence.
- 187c — οὐδὲ ὁ διπλοῦς ἔρως ἐνταῦθά πω ἔστιν. The double Love is not present yet in the bare constitution of harmony and rhythm.
