Meaning
The Central or Spiritual Sun is an image of a source of spiritual life, wisdom, or love. It is not always the physical sun considered as an astronomical body.
Use in the book
The Degrees make souls receive light from a Central Sun of Being. Changing religious forms are illuminated by a Divine Sun in the account of tradition. At the ladder's summit, Charity is connected with divine love and the Spiritual Sun. The same image therefore joins origin, history, and ethical completion.
