Meaning
Platos is breadth or width. It can describe a dimension ranked relative to others or an extent assigned a particular direction.
Use in the book
The dimensional accounts distinguish breadth from the objects possessing it. One Stoic definition identifies it as the second extent, another as the extent to right and left. The meaning remains relational: breadth is recognized within an ordered set of dimensions rather than by one absolute direction throughout the cosmos.
