Meaning
Lēxis is an allotment or the portion assigned. It is distinct from lexis, wording or expression, despite their similar transliterations.
Use in the book
The interpretation of the Fates says that a natural allotment awaits all things and associates it with the future. In the soul survey, particular allotments establish the recipients from which different descents proceed. Allocation thus organizes both temporal expectation and cosmic placement.
