Modern English
Since we have long known—though you were unaware of it—the diligence and care that you two have devoted to the true knowledge of God and the reading of Holy Scripture, and have recognised it also from your writing, we wish to honour you with an answer before many thousands of others, and to communicate this to you by God’s permission and the Holy Spirit’s admonition.
