English
Then pour warm distilled rainwater over the matter calcined with sulphur, nitre, and tartar and leave it in warmth overnight. Pour it off and filter it through grey paper. When it is clear, introduce clear distilled spirit of wine: it precipitates blood-red. Let it settle well, then pour the water off the red sulphur. Allow what remains, which is red and is the sulphur of gold and antimony, to dry gently, and retain it. From the remaining body and residue, after it has been thoroughly reverberated, the salt must be leached out and clarified with spirit of wine, by distilling off or evaporating the spirit of wine until it is clear and pure enough. See the commentary, folio 70, section 20.

The complete supplied German–English edition of the 1682 collection: the main treatise attributed to Ali Puli, Helbig’s preface, distinct companion discourses, the short potable-gold preparation and the anonymous Father’s Last Testament, with four historical figures, 103 annotations and the full Diotimos study apparatus.
Historical Text and Translation
The governing German witness is the complete 1682 collection in Badische Landesbibliothek Karlsruhe, shelfmark 87 B 76050, with an unnumbered title and printed pages 1–80. The historical title’s Arabic and Portuguese antecedents and its authorial persona are retained as claims, not authenticated originals. Johann Otto Helbig (Hellwig), Martin de Delle, J. J. F. and the anonymous testament retain their distinct historical roles.
