Historical Definition
Rebona is the same as mummy.
Meaning
This is an equivalence entry. It sends the reader to a better-known category within the vocabulary of the period and supplies no preparation or origin of its own.
Use in the Book
Mumia defines the category through flesh seasoned with balsam, including not only human flesh but other flesh prepared in that way. The present equivalence gives no additional source or preparation of its own. A passage using Rebona should therefore be read with that fuller entry and its actual material qualifications.
Places to Read
Mumia. Balmed flesh, expressly extending beyond human flesh.
