At a Glance

The word. Mumia-language applied to a balm of external elements.

In the book. Balsamum Elementorum externum supplies another expanded elemental-balm entry.

A place to read. The historical definition below, 1650 dictionary, unnumbered definition page 34; facsimile PDF page 362.

Historical Definition

Mumia Elementorum is the balm of the external elements.

Meaning

The elemental qualification moves the expression beyond the flesh-preparation described under Mumia. The definition identifies a balm in relation to external elements, without giving an ingredient list or equating it with the body of a particular animal.

Use in the Book

Balsamum Elementorum externum supplies another expanded elemental-balm entry. Read it with this short equivalent and with Mumia itself to preserve the difference between a bodily preparation and an expression operating at elemental scale.

Places to Read

Balsamum Elementorum externum. An external elemental balsam explained through Mercury, Mumia and firmamental essence.

Mumia. Balmed flesh, expressly extending beyond human flesh.
