Historical Definition

Vmbratiles are astral bodies.

Meaning

The definition keeps body and an astral qualification together. It does not directly equate the term with an ordinary visible human body or with a wholly bodiless spirit.

Compare Visio for apparitions of spirits and Spiritus Animalis for a power of the soul related to the heavens. These are different descriptions, despite their participation in a wider celestial vocabulary.

Visio. A visible apparition described as supernatural and spiritual.
