At a Glance
The word. A name identified with manna.
A place to read. The historical definition below, 1650 dictionary, unnumbered definition page 3; facsimile PDF page 331.
Historical Definition
Alusar is manna.
Meaning
The definition provides an equivalence without identifying a source, locality or preparation. Its proper use is as a route into Manna, where the dictionary gives further context. Do not infer a particular plant product or atmospheric substance from this name alone: the short entry has not made that distinction. Retaining Alusar in the spelling index allows a reader to find the related discussion without silently replacing the historical word in a quoted text.
Places to Read
Manna. An aerial dew and, more broadly, sweet extracted matter.
