The mountain named Thabor is the setting the main author assigns to the transfiguration, where the Father declares the beloved Son and commands that he be heard. Verklerung names that transfiguration, rendered through its familiar English term.
The place-name supports an argument about testimony and knowledge: the Father points to the Son, while the surrounding passage directs readers to Scripture. It is not the mountain of seven in the Summary or the treasure-mountain of the First Response. Note n90 identifies Tabor as the author’s traditional attribution and observes that the cited Gospel accounts do not name the mountain. The entry records that attribution rather than asserting geographical certainty.
