The pearls-and-swine image explains why the ancient possessors allegedly wrote in veiled language. Their noble instruction was to be preserved for successors without being indiscriminately exposed. The surrounding prose specifies the feared consequence: a greedy world would desire only this secret, abandon work, and produce disorder. The insult thus belongs to the text's moral classification of recipients. It is not a literal zoological comparison relevant to the material, nor proof that every obscurity in the collected volume was produced for this one benevolent purpose.
