The visible formula is A vnnd ω, followed immediately by ‘the beginning and the end’. It concludes the main treatise’s description of the heavenly saviour as universal medicine, source of creatures and highest good. The accompanying citation to Revelation makes the letters a scriptural title, not an instruction for decoding alchemical apparatus.
The English spells out ‘Alpha and Omega’; the German unit presents an A and a lower-case Greek omega joined by a German conjunction. The original sequence is therefore retained as a lookup form. Its universal reach belongs to the theological argument about Christ’s origin-giving and sustaining power; it does not identify the earthly stone with the entirety of divine being.
