Meaning

The Sanctum Sanctorum is the holy of holies, or innermost sacred place. A crypt is the concealed chamber used for the story's council and search.

Use in the book

The degree narrative locates the secret council beneath the Temple's innermost place. The divine Name is later associated with a protected sacred interior. The lodge and human temple extend the image from a building to the inward conditions of disclosure.

Reading the argument

The spatial model gives knowledge an interior and an approach. It does not establish the existence of every chamber described in a ritual legend. The moral significance of a protected center and the archaeological claim remain distinct.
