Ieremie Perier and Abdias Buisard are named in the imprint as booksellers. The privilege separately identifies Périer as the petitioner or grantee to whom the printing authorization is issued; Bergeron appears in the Council's subscription. These roles are not authorship claims.
The privilege's audience includes printers, booksellers and binders. Relieurs matters because the restriction reaches book production and circulation beyond the named imprint sellers. Audit exposant refers back to the petitioner, not to an unnamed expositor of the philosophy. The fine is divided between the King and Périer as petitioner, half to each. The provision assigning half to him is a particular benefit of the privilege; it should not be paraphrased as every bookseller receiving half. The legal language records the historical authorization and its penalties, not present-day publishing rights.
The all-capital imprint forms and mixed-case privilege form are retained as selected variants. Bergeron's signature is explained as a subscription rather than silently expanded into an unverified personal biography.
