Hortulan is the commentator whose metallic interpretation Nuysement accepts as true within a narrower scope. Calling the sun philosophical gold, father of the stone, does not exhaust the Table’s universal natural meaning. The dedication’s desire for Candale’s fuller interpretation likewise sets a twofold mystery beside Hortulan’s wholly metallic emphasis. The concession “which is true” must not vanish in a summary that presents only disagreement.
The later ascent discussion cites Hortulan for retaining a portion of the subject’s spiritual part to enable renewed dissolution after fixation. This is not an identified foreign reagent, but neither can it be erased by a simplified one-matter slogan. The author’s argument preserves both the subject’s continuity and this distinct office of a reserved portion.
