Eyes

Meaning

Protogonos clears mist from eyes at VI.6, whereas the Eumenides flash destructive light from theirs at LXX.6. Eyes can thus receive improved vision or emit a frightening radiance. The conventional dual headword ὄσσε provides access to the printed plural ὄσσων without silently replacing it with the separate noun ὄμμα.
