Meaning

Hera's airy movement, Poseidon's deep sea allotment and Egyptian river-water in Mise's invocation all use χεῦμα. The noun can describe a flowing medium rather than one fixed kind of river. The Egyptian water is not explicitly named Nile in XLII.10, even if that geographical identification may suggest itself.
