Meaning

Dionysus is εὐτραφής beside “rich in fruit” and his action of increasing gladdening fruit at L.4. The epithet makes him abundantly flourishing within a fertility-rich description. It need not mean only that he was well fed as an infant, since the present context emphasizes productive growth.
