Meaning

Hades is ἄκριτος among far-reaching, unwearied and breathless descriptions at XVIII.9. “Indiscriminate” fits a realm that makes no distinctions; the edition instead gives “trackless.” That rendering should remain distinguishable from the Greek’s judgement or discrimination range, and the passage does not establish a courtroom sense such as “untried.”
