The construction says there is no disease against which a medicine has not also been created and found. Its double negative yields a strong universal assertion, not a cautious claim that many diseases have remedies. The following analogy of one thing set against another draws authority from that premise. Keeping the logical force explicit permits assessment of the historical claim without quietly weakening or endorsing it.
