Meaning

A vessel named in the restoration of coagulated Mercury. The passage distinguishes that case from the treatment of sublimed Mercury and from calcined Mercury’s stated need for prior sublimation. The apparatus name is therefore attached to one particular branch of the classification. It should not become a generic label for every vessel in the book, especially the aludel and cucurbit.
