Meaning

The fire catalogue uses a steel mirror or crystal to manifest solar rays and their effects. Later mirrors and crystals appear in accounts of visions, including condemned ceremonial practices. The shared objects do not have one invariant function: an optical instrument concentrating sunlight and a medium of alleged apparition belong to different local arguments and should remain distinguishable.
