The text’s historical cosmography divides the whole globe into Europe, Asia, and Africa, separated by the ocean. It calls this a prefiguration of the three principles’ separability. The argument is analogical and theological; the three-part list should not be presented as a complete modern geography or as independent evidence for the material composition of every earthly thing.
